As a Behavior Technician or RBT, you will:

Champion our integrity and interdisciplinary approach by providing customer service while exhibiting excellence through:

  • Service Delivery: Implement goals from the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), complete tasks and maintain IEP minutes, ensuring alignment with therapeutic objectives. Maintain schedule and complete tasks assigned by identified deadlines with minimal supervision. (Excellence)
  • Student, Family, School District & Community Engagement: Develop rapport with families, school districts and children to increase the social validity of implementation while maintaining professional boundaries. Provide high-quality service to students, their families, and school districts in a clean and safe environment. Foster trust and cooperation to enhance treatment outcomes. Exhibit adaptability to changing environments and student needs. Increase community awareness and support, through outreach. (Service)
  • Data and Time Management: Use data collection, monitor performance metrics, and optimize time management tactics. Maintain professional, accurate, and timely documentation including Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) audit logs to meet standards and guidelines. Ensure adherence to supervision requirements.   • Collaboration & Communication: Maintain a positive work environment, foster interdisciplinary team support and collaboration and therapeutic best practice interventions. Effectively communicate with supervisors regarding student needs and treatment ideas. (Celebration)
  • Continuous Learning: Learn and implement ABA therapy best practice interventions as outlined in individualized education plans. Ensure compliance with and incorporate industry best practices and IEP requirements within practice standards. Participate and contribute to innovation and the expansion of knowledge and skills into new practice areas and development opportunities. (Possibility)
  • Professional Responsibility: Adhere to code of conduct and company policies, review published communications, escalate concerns through chain of command, and ensure confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. (Integrity)

Requirements:

  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  

Behavior Technician I 

*BT I can advance to RBT immediately upon completing   certification.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.   Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred. 
  • Obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within first 90 days of employment preferred. 
  • CPR Certification maintained and in good standing. 
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification maintained   and in good standing.

Behavior Technician II  

Behavior Technician I requirements plus:

  • 5+ years of applicable experience with behavior skills training and interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in applied behavior analysis 

Registered Behavior Technician

Behavior Technician requirements plus:

  • Passed the RBT certification exam and maintain RBT in current active status
  • Maintain monthly RBT logs 
  • Maintain RBT certificate and keep BACB account up to date with personally identifiable information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Transitional Movements: Walking, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, reaching, and kneeling, lifting, carrying, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing stairs- Constantly  
  • Rotating or changing to different physical positions based on the needs of the environment- Constantly   
  • Lifting of 20-30 Pounds- Occasionally 
  • Repetitive Motion: Sitting, typing- Frequently  
  • Hearing, Seeing and Speaking- Constantly  

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Office environment, indoors, climate controlled
  • Occasional exposure to infectious disease, parasites, bodily fluids, and blood-borne pathogens
  • Potential exposure to physical contact from students, including slapping, hitting, punching, kicking, head-butting, and biting
  • Occasional exposure to all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow/ice
