Heartspring Mask Update
By: Rachel Mayberry, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications
Today, Sedgwick County commissioners moved to rescind the health order requiring masks and social distancing. This was in part due to the Kansas State Senate passing SB 40 which limits the ability of a county or local health board to issue health orders.
Effective immediately, masks and social distancing are no longer required in Sedgwick County.
Because of the vaccination rate in Sedgwick County (approximately 8%) and the nature of the families we serve, we will continue to enforce wearing masks, social distancing, and increased hygiene practices on the Heartspring campus for the ongoing future.
If you are in a client or student serving area, you are required to wear a mask. We also ask that you do your best to maintain a social distance of 6 feet when possible. This applies to staff, families, and visitors to the Heartspring campus.
We thank you for your continued support and flexibility as we have navigated the pandemic.
