Heartpsring’s Multi-Disciplinary Therapeutic Care

At Heartspring, we provide a tailored path to success for every family through a comprehensive range of therapeutic services. In both the Heartspring Outpatient Clinic and Therapeutic Residential & Day School, we’ve built an integrated approach that brings together experts from multiple disciplines to create treatment and behavior plans that address a child’s every need.
Our board certified behavior analysts, certified autism specialists, and registered behavior technicians use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to guide essential social and communication skills. ABA’s evidence-based techniques help reduce interfering behaviors and build a strong foundation for future learning.
Speech-language therapy nurtures language development and comprehension, ensuring every child can communicate effectively. We also specialize in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, so children who don’t rely on verbal communication can express themselves.
In occupational therapy, our therapists develop strategies to help children master everyday tasks and fine motor skills that bolster their independence. Daily living skills like hygiene, handwriting, and leisure skills can grow through occupational therapy.
Within our state-of-the-art physical therapy gym, we address children’s mobility, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gross motor development. For children with neurodevelopmental disorders or delays, physical therapy allows them to gain greater control of their bodies.
To help the children and teenagers we serve manage stress and develop coping strategies, we offer behavioral health services. These assessments and interventions support specific diagnoses like anxiety and depression as well as more generalized needs like emotional regulation and mental wellness.
Our audiology services ensure that hearing concerns don’t adversely affect a child’s speech, language, or developmental growth. From hearing evaluations to auditory processing testing and hearing aid fittings, our audiologist works to minimize children’s hearing and communication barriers.
Each speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist at Heartspring is trained in the evidence-based Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) feeding therapy framework to address children’s feeding challenges. Our therapists develop individualized plans to improve a child’s oral motor skills for eating, expand the textures and foods tolerated, and support families with at-home mealtime strategies.
Early Intervention for Lifelong Impact
In our pediatric clinic, early intervention helps minimize the risk of more significant challenges and intensive interventions by tackling issues when they are easier to address. Our therapies lay a solid foundation for a child’s cognitive, social, and physical growth.
At Heartspring, we understand each child’s strengths in order to work through their challenges. Our clients engage in personalized, play-based interventions that spark early learning and build lifelong skills. Our therapeutic team’s unified approach ensures progress across a child’s skillset with treatment plans in conjunction across every environment and service in our clinic.
A Collaborative Therapeutic School Environment
What truly sets our multi-disciplinary model apart in our school is the seamless integration of therapies across a child’s treatment plan, behavior plan, and individualized educational plan (IEP). Therapists, educators, and clinicians meet regularly to exchange insights and adjust a student’s plans. This ongoing dialogue ensures that we consider every facet of a child’s development and that interventions in one area complement progress in another. Families also contribute to this process and have access to their student’s real-time data, progress, and successes.
Preparing for the Future
As our clients complete services in our clinic or students graduate from our school, they carry forward a robust set of skills, from effective communication and social interaction to motor coordination and self-care. This holistic, individualized support instills resilience, self-advocacy, and emotional balance. Ultimately, we empower the children, teens, and young adults we serve to face future challenges confidently and embrace opportunities for growth. By fostering a collaborative team environment and engaging families as active partners, our organization ensures that every step of a child’s therapeutic journey is a step toward a brighter, more self-sufficient future.
